Production sequence

From Material to Finished Packaging

A custom paper packaging run moves through these plant steps. Timing is confirmed on the quote for that structure, material and quantity.

  1. 01

    Material Preparation

    Board, wrap paper and corrugated are prepared against the order specification before printing.

  2. 02

    Printing

    CMYK or Pantone is printed on the locked dieline. Color is checked against the approved sample.

  3. 03

    Die Cutting

    Sheets are cut to the confirmed structure so lids, walls and windows match the drawing.

  4. 04

    Folding & Gluing

    Cartons and rigid wraps are formed and glued to the approved construction.

  5. 05

    Finishing / Assembly

    Foil, lamination, magnets, inserts and assembly are applied where the order specifies them.

  6. 06

    Quality Inspection

    Incoming, in-process and outgoing checks are made against the approved sample for that run.

Checks on the run

Quality Control

Quality control is the same incoming, in-process and outgoing sequence already described on this site. Ask for QC photos that match your order when you request a quote.

    Incoming Material

    Board, wrap paper and other materials for the order are checked before they enter printing.

  2. 02

    In-Process Inspection

    Print, die-cut and forming steps are checked against the locked dieline and approved sample.

  3. 03

    Assembly & Finishing

    Magnets, inserts, foil and other specified finishing are reviewed as the pack is assembled.

  4. 04

    Final Inspection

    Outgoing checks are made against the approved sample before packing for shipment.
